This water-repellent, wearable calf blanket helps calves grow faster and more efficiently. This calf coat is more like a wearable blanket and our calves show a clear preference for it during very cold weather. Not having to use energy to keep warm helps prevent scours and respiratory diseases.
High-performance waterproof outer shell is laminated to a wool-rich lining underneath for proven warmth and protection. Hook and loop strap under the belly keeps it in place.
Has about 50 weeks of wear if well-cared for. Potential to reuse for 4-5 seasons. Outer shell can be brushed or wiped clean. Repels wet, cold, windy weather. We've washed ours in cold water and hung to dry, but this may shorten life of coat.
This coat is EFFECTIVE and as such needs to be taken off in warmer, sunny winter days or the calf may overheat.
