This is a hands-on, in-the-thick-of-it experience where you'll roll up your sleeves and dive headfirst into the heartbeat of farm life. You'll be an integral part of leading the day-to-day tasks at Reverence Farms. There's truly no better way to learn how to steward the homestead ecosystem than by being at the forefront of the action on a regenerative dairy farm.
What you can expect:
+ Hands-on experience in animal husbandry, shepherding, and caring for a grass-fed dairy herd.
+ Learn to tube a calf, IV a cow, bump a calf, reach in a cow to check for pregnancy (3+ months gestation), do a tail blood draw and more hands-on, practical skills! You will leave prepared!
+ Personalized mentorship from seasoned farmers passionate about sustainable agriculture. We really spend time together! This program is tailored to your interests.
+ Immersive farm stay experience in a sweet tiny house equipped with one bed, private bathroom & kitchenette.
+ Do daily chores with us, be a part of the team and ask all the questions you can think of — we will fill in plenty of places where you didn't even know what to ask.
